You can move or copy things from one place to another using your mouse. If you find a file is actually not in the place you want it, you can move it. Open two windows on your screen, size and arrange them so that you can see both. One of those windows should be the source place and the other is the target place. Point at the file you want to move and hold down the mouse button. Now, while holding the button down, drag it to the title bar of the window (folder) you want to move it to. You will see an outline as you move it.
Hint: If you use the right button on your mouse (assuming you have not set it for a left hander) instead of the left, when you let go of the button, you will see a menu that you can choose from: Copy, Move, or Cancel.
